Harry Potter CRPG video game was cancelled even before the movie
From the very first movie of the series named The Philosopher's Stone, to the last one which was The Deathly Hallows Part 2, each and every movie title had its own video game adaptation. Some of the titles even had different video games by their names for different ports.

Hogwarts Legacy is the latest video game in the series, which was released in 2023, and it has been released for all the major platforms. Hopefully, more games based on the famous novel and movie series will arise in the future.

But a surprising claim had been made by the Saints Row developer recently that he was about to be a part of a huge project of a Harry Potter game that was scheduled to release even before the first movie, which was released in 2001. This would have been a CRPG game.

Volition, the developer that made the claim, also confirmed that the game would have been pretty much identical to the famous CRPG video game Series Baldur's Gate. This turned based RPG is still pretty much famous among gamers. Such a Harry Potter title would have been a different experience, and a CRPC title could still be very much popular if considered.
