Brand new design for iPhone 18 Pro on it's way. As heard tge iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models will get under the screen Facial ID and a tiny selfie camera on the top of left corner of the phone's display. This news is beleived to come from an insider of the company's supply chain.

How will this Brand New Change Work?

This brand new news still stands officially unconfirmed. But if this happens then it might face some issues. Let's break them down gradually.

Till date Apple uses heavy pixel density for it's displays and this brand new innovation might create trouble for the under screen facial scanner to work smoothly. For face identification it needs to project several infra-red dots on the surface of the screen to get the detailed topographical mapping of the face. This is easily done by a front facing camera instead of the OLED panels those block the light and scatter it. These panels are expected to be used for the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro Max.

What Apple Now Needs to do?

Only way for Apple to solve the trouble caused by this brand new change is to find out a solution for making the infra-red light to pass through the OLED panels and not affect the display as well. This will definitely take a lot of time to first test and then implement. Hence this change is thought for the iPhone 18 Pro series which is likely to launch much after the upcoming iPhone 17 series.

There is no news for such changes in the iPhone 17 as it is expected to launch sooner than iPhone 18 Pro series. Such changes in either internal hardware or software functioning needs tremendous testing and re-testing for all sort of small and big addition and alterations before launching it for the public to use.

It is rumoured that the basic iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e will have the same design and patterns like the present models of Apple. These will have same front facing sensor.
