With its Vision Pro at the helm, Apple is going to enter into a new age for gadget lovers by setting its sights on foldable iPhones and smart glasses. But the journey was cut short by the company, as revealed by a report.

Vision Pro: Adaptive Formulation
Apple will introduce a new Vision Pro in 2025, which will come with a new M5 chip linked with the advanced neural engine. However, the design on the outside will not be changed-it will be more or less related to the management of production and inventory with continuity in the XR ecosystem LOS40.
New Vision Devices: Vision Air and Smart Glass Imaginations
Vision Air is a predicted launch sometime in the third quarter of 2027: would weigh some 40% lighter than Vision Pro. Glasses will rely on a plastic and magnesium alloy frame to keep price and weight low, using the iPhone chip.
Smart Glasses (No display): Similar to Ray-Ban Smart Glasses to be launched in the Second Quarter of 2027, which Will Have Voice Control, Gesture Recognition, Camera, Microphone, Speaker, and AI-based Environmental Awareness, but No Display. Expect to Ship 3-5 Million Units in the First Year.
Vision Pro: Apple's Second-Generation and XR Glasses
Vision Pro (2nd Generation): This is coming during Q2 2028 and is expected to carry an entirely different architecture plus Mac-grade processors to pull sufficient weight while demands are still dark and professional. MacRumors The Verge.
XR Glasses (display attached): greatly improved XR Glasses from Waveguide optics, alongside a well-colored LCoS display + AI-powered features, would be expected to launch.

Under launch waiting list
2025: Vision Pro (with M5 chip)
2027: Vision Air and Smart Glass (no screen)
2028: Vision Pro 2nd generation and XR Glass (display attached)
Other variants and spatial devices projected for next year
Apple is taking vast strides into spatial computing, moving across generations into XR Vision, and including devices with structures that are merely enlarged scale versions of their predecessors, entirely new forms, or built on completely new concepts altogether. From the latest update for Vision Pro to Vision Air, Smart Glass, Vision Pro 2, and XR Glass, this long-range roadmap shows how Apple is moving: to point the way forward while creating new horizons simultaneously through hardware and software.
