The new Apple iPhone series 17 is supposed to be launched on September 9, 2025. The event will showcase 4 models of iPhone, including: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and a slimmer version of iPhone 17 called iPhone 17 Air. An accessory, expected to accompany the series, is the crossbody strap, but with numerous leaks and design analysis, it raises the question of whether this accessory is real.

Crossbody Strap: Design and Features

The leak also suggested that the strap would have a flexible core of metal giving seamless magnetic connectivity for its length, with opposite magnetic rings at both ends for coupling the strap to the iPhone 17 case and would also allow users to simply carry it around their body with the phone attached. The two materials used would be silicone and TechWoven nylon, to be useful for both the iPhone 17 series as well as the AirPods Pro 3.

Doubts in Design

However, there are some leaks concerning the strap, but there are mismatches in the advertisement because the width of the strap edge does not correspond to the lanyard slot on the iPhone 17 case. This type of indication suggests some mismatch in design. Moreover, since the materials and types of connectors used in the straps do not coordinate with Apple's existing design language, there is a surge of suspicion that these may, in fact, be a fake.

The Experience Of Apple

The company had earlier launched a FineWoven case which could not survive the consumer pressure but was immediately taken off the shelf. Bearing in mind this incidence, Apple will be extra careful this time while issuing new accessories, which raises the skepticism concerning the authenticity of the leak even further.

This probably new accessory, called crossbody strap, may probably accompany the iPhone 17 series, but the mismatches, curiosly enough, in the leaks and designs raise question marks regarding the authenticity of the accessory. Perhaps more clearn ews with respect to this accessory will come on September 9 by Apple during their event.
