Apple's latest decision has rocked the entire technology world; now iPhone 17 to be manufactured in India along with China. This, as one analyst argues, is a strategic move at a moment when the United States and China are embroiled in more trade tensions.

Why This Decision?
For the last couple of years, it has been trying to detach itself from China. More so, it had been unplugging from China because supply chains have consistently been disrupted due to increasing political pressure and commercial pressure on the USA and its trade rival, China. Hence, Apple looked forward to India as an alternative production site.
Development of Apple iPhone Manufactured in India
Currently, Apple is producing some models of the iPhone 15 series in India. Now, they step into tribal shores in India with the production of iPhone 17. They will start very soon through a huge third roof like Foxconn and Wistron in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka in South India.
Experts estimate that almost 25% of its total production could be supplied by India by 2025.
Massive Chance Within India
This big chance brings in huge jobs in the technology arena of India; jobs through local manufacturing of iPhone, and also a huge step in transferring high-quality technology into India. This has, in fact, never been so easy for the Indian government to screen foreign investment under the 'Make in India' project, which indeed has walked the extra mile to help the company.

So What Does It All Mean for The Customers?
Whatever it is, whether the iPhone 17 produced in India will be cheaper is still under question, but highly possible in a much-reduced price trend in the long run. Moreover, market experts are positive about the speed of shipments, which will ensure customers have quick access to the latest styles.
