Last night, the Apple Wonderlust event stole the spotlight and the star of the show was the iPhone 15 line-up, for sure. However, the smartphone lineup was not the sole contender to be unwrapped by Tim Cook. Apple unwrapped the much-awaited Watch Series 9 at the spectacular event. In fact, the event started with the introduction of the updated version of the smartwatch. The Watch Series 9 features a new Double Tap gesture, better Siri processing, and enhanced performance.
The Watch Series 9 is powered by the company’s new S9 chip. It enables versatile double-tap gestures using which you can do plenty of things without actually touching its screen. Apple says it has utilized the faster Neural Engine and enhanced machine learning algorithm. The gesture will be offered through a software update in October. You can answer phone calls, scroll through widgets, and start a timer using the gesture easily.
With the Watch Series 9, you get enhanced Siri performance. The data gets processed on the device itself, making it faster and more secure. The device will be sold in aluminium and stainless steel versions and multiple hues will be offered. The Series 9 is also a carbon-neutral product, says Apple. It is designed to offer users a faster and better experience. As per Apple, the Watch Series 9 will be made available for sale on Sept. 22.
