Even as the excitement around the recently held Wonderlust event of Apple settles down, the technology giant is gearing up for its next big move. After taking the wraps off the iPhone 15 lineup and the Watch Series 9, Apple is now readying to release the 17th incarnations of iOS and iPadOS. The updated versions of its OSes will be showcased on September 18th. This development is likely to make existing Apple users excited.

From September 18th, Apple iPhone users can download the new OS. This will give them access to new features like Journal app, StandBy mode, and Live Voicemail. The OS was earlier unveiled by the Cupertino-based tech giant at the WWDC back in June. The iPadOS 17 will also be unveiled on the same date, said Apple at the Wonderlust event. The iPad users will be able to customize their device lock screens and interact with widgets better. For a list of iPad models supporting the new OS, you can check the Apple website.

After September 18th, iOS 17 users will be able to use Siri without saying hey first. The new Live Voicemail is another worthy feature. Users will also love the new StandBy mode with which the iPhone becomes a bedside clock. However, Apple has already said some new iOS 17 features cannot be accessed by iPhone users in some nations.
