There has come some especially irritating news for Fire TV users. With an update from Amazon Fire TV, applications are recently being repeatedly blocked with full-screen pop-up warning messages to users trying to launch an app. The worst thing about it is that there appears to be no relatively easy way to get around this particular block.

Which Applications Are Blocked?

However, there are reports that Fire TV really buys into blocking almost all installations or sideloaded applications primarily. More specifically, the pop-up shows the full-screen blocking app with a warning that the application is "unsafe" or "not in keeping with Amazon policies" when launching apps not officially shown in the Appstore.

In most often cases, this pop-up gives the user of the app any other option but to go back or uninstall the application? completely shutting down any access to the app.

Why Would Amazon Do This?

It introduces this update regarding security and copyright problems. Basically, Amazon is unwelcome to any streaming app whether illegal or unauthorized. The new full screen pop-up will indeed be very effective in turning into a scare tactics against users who engage unsafe and illegal application.

However, it will affect several of the legitimate and safe applications for users who prefer to sideload their applications to have customized preferences.

And
Why Are Users Peeved?

This has annoyed many users concerning:

- Hauling app launch with a screen-stopping pop-up;
- No straightforward option available from the settings to disable it,
- All options "Allow" or "Continue" are never provided.
- Developer options aren't helpful either.

Most say this makes Fire TV less open and user unfriendly.

What is the Resolution?

For now, there is indeed no permanent solution, neither easy nor simple. There were suggestions by some users to downgrade Fire OS version to an older version. But it is very dangerous and may not always work. One has almost tried an everything- VPNs to whatever- to bypass this full-screen block.

Speculations Concerning the Future

Blockade will be progressively stricter in the near future, considering that at the time, only apps found on the Appstore will be allowed by Fire TV owners.

Its impact really goes across the board as a new decision from Amazon Fire TV that pushes freedom to the users with no hope for a remedy.
