Motorola has been a key player in the mid-range segment in the Smartphone scene lately with their G-Series and Edge Series and they are here again with their latest offering for Indian customers.
Motorola is set to unveil the all-new mid-range smartphone Moto G96 5G on July 9. Flipkart has already listed a page for the Moto G96 on its website, and several specs and features have been officially confirmed.
Motorola has also teased it on their own website Motorola.in and highlighted various specs.

So, what does this new Motorola phone offer?
Display: The Moto G96 5G will have a 6.67-inch pOLED 3D 10 bit curved display, with full HD+ (2400 x 1080p) resolution, refresh rate up to 144Hz and 1600nits peak brightness.
SoC and OS: the Moto G96 5G will have Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor. It will run on Android 15 out-of-the-box with Hello UI skin on top.
RAM And Storage: The Moto G96 5G will come in 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variants.
Battery and Charging: A huge 5500mAh battery will be power the Moto G96 5G, with 33W TurboPower charging. (charging brick and cable included in retail box)
Safety And Protection: The device will have an IP68 rating for dust and water protection and Corning Glass 5 for the display, along with Water Touch 2.0 technology - the screen stays responsive even when wet, perfect for poolside playlists or booking a ride in the rain.
Audio: Stereo Speakers with support for Dolby Atmos and HI Res Audio.
Camera: The Moto G96 5G will sport a dual rear camera set, including a Sony LYT 700C 50MP OIS main camera and 8MP ultrawide, along with a 32MP selfie shooter. The camera is powered by Moto AI, with features such as AI photo enhancement, and Google-powered tools, like Magic Editor, Magic Eraser and more.
Style: The Moto G96 5G will be available in vegan leather finish and four Pantone-certified colours: Greener Pastures, Cattleya Orchid, Ashleigh Blue, and Dresden Blue.
Expected Price of Moto G96:
The actual price of the device has not been revealed yet but is speculated to be in the range of Rs 19,000 - 22,000.

Underwhelming aspects:
As soon as the specs and looks were revealed, many users online found an uncanny resemblance to Moto Edge 50 Fusion, which was released last year. That has the same processor, same camera setup, the battery is a tad bit low at 5000mAh but makes up for superior charging speeds at 68W. I would personally say that the 50 Fusion has a better array of colours too, and is available for Rs 18,999.
