Maxwell Jacob Friedman, better known as MJF is indeed one of the biggest names in the world of professional wrestling right now. He is presently associated with All Elite Wrestling and he is indeed one of the biggest names of the promotion today. He is also a huge attraction to AEW, arguably the biggest attraction of the promotion.

At a point, AEW was managing to provide competition for WWE, and wrestling fans even believed that the new promotion might surpass WWE in terms of popularity. However, multiple backstage issues prevented AEW from becoming the promotion. Despite their high growth rate at a point, the promotion could not live up to its expectations.

WWE Hall of Famer Calls MJF A Generational Talent and Compares Him With This Wrestling Legend

Even at this difficult time period, Friedman managed to remain the center of attraction of AEW. The promotions remained desperate to keep him on their side despite multiple interests from their biggest rival promotion. Two times WWE Hall of Famer Booker T shared massive praise for Friedman while talking about him on his ‘Hall of Fame’ Podcast. He even compared Friedman with wrestling legend Roddy Piper;

MJF is a former AEW World Champion

"I like MJF, this is a guy that's got major star appeal, he really does. I really feel like in this business, he's going to really write his own ticket at the end of the day ... in the ring as well as on the microphone, he's a guy that I really feel like would be good for what we talk about, in the ring, out of the business. He'll be able to promote, do a whole lot of things for your promotion. I just really feel like he's going to be one of those generational guys like a Piper."

Booker T compares MJF with WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper

"Honestly, for the people that is saying that MJF is getting stale, they may be right 100%, but it's a good stale from my perspective." Booker said. "He's probably got a 5-year deal or something like that. Even if he had a 10-year deal, when he came out of it, working at this pace, he's still going to be fresh to come to somebody's roster, but just say for instance he got a 5-year deal and he comes out 33 years old, that's still young for this business. It's pitch perfect."

“Rowdy” Roddy Piper is one of the biggest names of 80s’ wrestling and he is considered one of the most underrated names in the wrestling world. He was Hulk Hogan’s one of the biggest rivals during his prime and he even main evented the first ever WrestleMania. It is definitely a huge matter of pride for Friedman to get compared to one of the best ever in the business.
