Samsung leads this chart who made total shipment of 60.5 Million units with market share of 20% and has seen an annual growth of 1%.

Who ranks second in this list? It's none other than Apple who has in it's bag a total shipment of 55 Million units for 19% of the total market. At the same time, it has seen a 13% of growth over the years.

What has Counterpoint Research got to Say about the Market?

This firm states smartphone sales growth of 3% over year. With attention to the details this report provides, it's Apple who tops the list with 19% of the total market sale and Samsung coming right next to it with a good 18%.

Yes! There's a third major firm for market research IDC. This firm in the same way like Canalys claims Samsung as the market lead with 60.6 Million units with Apple being second that has 57.9 Million units in it's bucket.
