Pixel watches might received another upgraded setting to there screen lock. While there has been no official confirmation from Google yet it is speculated that the change is intentional.
Pixel watches touch lock to be more complicated

The touch lock system or feature used in the Google watches was used as a handy and more efficient way out to prevent unnecessary taps on the watch especially in wet conditions. With this in mind there is a recent speculation that says this functionality has been kicked up to a top not level and not all users are happy about it.
Know More about Touch Lock
With attention to a report, the behaviour of Touch Lock has changed in Wear OS 5.1. Before even with disabled or locked touch screen one could use it's rotating crown on the display to crawl and check the notifications and access the quick settings. But now in the OS 5.1 the touch lock disables not only just the screen but the crown is well.
Is the feature an intentional move?

With this change one can interact with their pixel watch only by activating the touch lock and long pressing the crown for two seconds would disable the feature. Once you disable the feature you can no longer have even a look on your screen to check your notifications, your battery percentage or any other activities can be done.
To confirm whether it is an intentional move or not is not possible as of now. Some says that this step by Google is intentional but there has been no official update made by the brand publicly about this touch lock feature of their OS watch. Another important thing to realise is if this is unintentional more than a fix to this can arrive in the next update of pixel watch that is expected to be in June of this year
