The domestic company Karbonn has launched a budget mobile, Karbonn K9 Kavach 4G, on Tuesday. This is the first smartphone launched with an integrated BHIM app in partnership with the National Payments Corporation of India.
“The partnership epitomizes two ‘Made in India’ entities joining hands to enable digital Indians with smart telephone solutions. We aim to promote a cashless economy, empowering and educating more and more people in tier 2,3 cities and rural areas about digital transactions and benefits”, Pardeep Jain, the Managing Director of Karbonn Mobiles, said reporters at the event.
Display And Weight of Karbonn K9 Kavach 4G
This smartphone has a 5-inch screen with a 720p display, and it comes in a plastic body. thickness of the handset is 9.6mm and it weighs 161 gms.
Processor, Storage, And Connectivity
Karbonn K9 Kavach 4G handset is supported by a 1.25GHz quad core processor with 1GB RAM, 8 GB inbuilt storage, and it’s expandable up to 32GB with a memory card. This runs on the Android 7.0 operating system.
For connectivity, it has a dual SIM slot and supports 4G VoLTE connectivity. No Bluetooth option is there. You can connect your phone to wi-Fi. microUSB v2.0 is also available in this handset.
Battery and Camera
Out of the box, the Karbonn K9 Kavach is packed with a 2300mAh battery. The rear camera is 5MP, and the front camera is also equipped with 5MP. The rear and front flash are both available in this handset. You can transfer and receive funds by using the BHIM app to any bank by using your phone.
