‘The Champ’ John Cena started his retirement tour at the Netflix RAW Premiere as it is already reported that he will retire by the end of this year. Throughout this year, his quest for the 17th World title would continue as per reports and it is also reported that he would challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41.
There were some fans who wanted to see Cena vs. Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41 since Orton had been the biggest rival of Cena’s career and facing his biggest rival on his farewell match would have been amazing. But at this moment, it looks quite unlikely at WrestleMania as Cena is reportedly facing Cody Rhodes and Orton would also face Kevin Owens.

But Cena has the full year to go and the dream final feud between him and Orton his very much possible after WrestleMania. Two times TNA World Champion Bubba Ray Dudley believes this feud is best for business and it could even be more money if they could add a potential 17th title vs. 17th title angle in it. Speaking on his “Busted Open Radio” Podcast, he explained the following;
John Cena is a 16 times WWE World Champion
"The only way I wanna see Cena break the record is if Randy Orton was tied with John Cena. The money match for Orton and Cena or for the WWE, is for Orton and Cena to be tied at 16, and then — I can't even believe I'm going to suggest this type of match — but you do a ladder match because you can't go in with one guy at 16 and the other guy at 15 or something like that. It has to be very equal playing ground."

Randy Orton had been the biggest rival of John Cena’s wrestling career
"I know a gimmick match to break a record just sounds really, really weird, but if Cena is at 16, if you got Randy to 16 ... I don't know how you do it, I'm just saying, on paper, if both of those guys are tied and the belt was ... forget the ladder match, if the championship was vacated and up for grabs, Cena vs. Orton for 17 is where the money is at."

This angle would definitely be a dream for a large number of wrestling fans but it would be really difficult to book since Orton is presently standing on 14 title reigns and it do it, he has to be given two World title reigns in quick succession, and there is not enough time left for it. Nonetheless, this would be a dream feud and hopefully, WWE would consider it at least once before Cena’s retirement.
