Google may be working on UI. And maybe everyone will not like it. Google is planning to launch a massive update to it’s design language with Android 16.

The Design Language Looks Similar to ‘iOS’

Android has been plunging into Android 16 Beta 4 and has discovered some hidden evidence in UI changes. One of the vital changes is in the design of the notifications and quick settings panel. As the rumor claims that while the iOS-style menu appeared, few touches will copy Apple’s operating system.

There will be a redesign quick settings panel and a category-based organisation system. In 2024, Google’s status bar was initially set to go live with the old version, but it never happened. But it will happen with the new version. Colour-coded battery life indicators and a signal strength that looks like an iOS.

The white colour indicates that the device’s battery is sufficient but not properly charging. The Green one indicates that the device is charging and the red one indicates that the phone is running in low charge.

Single Tap for Wi-Fi And Bluetooth in Android

Previously Google was reported to take care on the option of notifications and Settings panel, that change was made by Samsung with OneUI 7. Google is still working in this matter and also trying to bring a updated familiar panel.

There is a rumor that claims the changes have been created for the split menu. One tap toggles for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and a redesigned Quick settings panel, and a decent look with a blurred background.

Android

Changes in Lock Screen

The upcoming feature would relocate your lock screen’s date, time, clock, and weather information. The pin input tray will be according to your theme. The numbers for the PIN input screen will bigger and much bolder than before. Elsewhere there is no as such change.

Any Changes in Volume and Icon

The new version will have a dedicated volume slider handle. The thick slider may be replace by a thin slider and the main volume panel is included in this and it will appear when the volume key will be pressed. Google might bring a new icon shape customisation that includes square, four-sided, seven-sided, arch and complex clover.

Initially some of the changes may be there with the upcoming version, but for the full changes that includes ‘expressive-ness’, will have to wait.
